I have done such a variety of work at Dragon Army as a senior project manager, and I love that. My role has given me the chance to work on everything from a video game app to websites, to social media, a video, brand projects, and even an NFT. We do so many interesting digital projects at Dragon Army, and I get to help structure and guide them all.

What attracted you to Dragon Army or why have you built your career here?

Culture attracted me. I’m coming from agencies where culture was not a focus. They saw people as assets and used us as resources, working us a ton. Coming to a place where there is a concerted effort to make sure people are happy and have balance in their work is incredible. It’s important to me.

This is a place where I can be happy and not dread Mondays. And Dragon Army has a true team support system in place. Everyone wants to help personally and professionally. I’ve already had opportunities to lend help to others and we’re encouraged to work ‘outside our lane,’ which has helped me to grow.

In my corporate professional life, this is the happiest I’ve been. I encourage anyone to leave a place where they don’t feel happy or valued, and to find a place where they will be.

What Dragon Army core value resonates with you most and why?

Our main purpose is to Inspire Happiness. That resonates with me because it’s about all of the core values. For example, even if details shift mid-project, knowing we are working together to Inspire Happiness for our clients pushes us to find new ways to create value. And it’s about continuously building a culture that makes life good. We come to work knowing that the work is important but it’s not everything. I like that we make that effort in all the things we do.

Give a snapshot into your day to help us understand your area of expertise.

My job can be summed up as “chaos orchestration.” Every morning, I take stock of my projects, where we left off the day before, what we need to do today. And then I dive in headfirst. By 10 am, I’m moving through projects, making sure everyone has what they need, our clients know where we are in the project, and progress on things. I spend my day taking care of moving parts, our team, and our clients. And even though some people and projects require less handholding, the oversight is always constant.
