In 2016, the Karen Toffler Charitable Trust (KTCT) was founded to revolutionize medical research, education, and technology. The 501c3 emerged from the personal mission of world-renowned futurists Alvin and Heidi Toffler. After operating quietly for a few years, the organization was ready to move into a new level of partnerships with leading medical institutions. KTCT also sought to increase donor and investor relations efforts that would support more medical researchers working to create solutions to some of humanity’s most intractable challenges.

They turned to Dragon Army to craft a sophisticated brand and website that would equip them to build the awareness and relationships they needed to take bold steps forward. Given the competitiveness in medical nonprofit funding, we implemented a thoughtful brand strategy with a clear, intelligent positioning and striking visual identity.

With that brand as our foundation, we launched a small website in 2019. Social strategy, email, collateral, PR, presentations, and investor and partner relations built on that platform. From the first six months to the next, the site accomplished more than 200% growth in sessions, users, and pageviews. And the Trust gained a measurable rise in partner inquiries from leading medical research institutions and media coverage.

Today, KTCT has a thriving, engaged network of almost 50 researchers and nine leading medical schools. They have provided over $1.2M in funding for high-risk ideas that have high-impact potential, including AI-supported diagnostic methods for Alzheimer’s disease, analyzing gene expression data to understand the underlying mechanisms in neurodegenerative diseases, and advanced blood tests for Parkinson’s disease.

Dragon Army is proud to announce that our partnership with this incredible organization has earned the agency two Web Excellence Awards in the categories: Website – Cause Awareness and Website – Medical. Visit KTCT to see the work and, more importantly, learn how you can support their efforts to support the breakthroughs that push humanity forward in a brighter, more hopeful direction.
